God the Artist Series
Leaders: Adara Wright, Joy Morykon, Kirsten Donohue and Jenna Sosa
The Attributes of God led by Adara Wright, Jenna Sosa, Joy Morykon and Kirsten Donohue. Each week we will look at who God is: just, merciful, omnipotent, eternal, immutable, holy, omniscient, and create art that reflects each characteristic. No artistic experience required. No fee to participate. We recommend that you purchase an art journal. We can help with ideas for that.

Jesus the Carpenter and His Design For Your Mansion
Leader: Phil Germeroth
Was Jesus indeed a carpenter? If so, what did that look like in First century Israel? What tools and materials were available? What kind of projects did He build? Why did God become a blue collar guy, and how did that prepare Him for His public ministry? During our nine week study we will ZOOM IN on the humanity of Jesus and its importance. We will discover rich spiritual truths from the Master’s trade. Then we will ZOOM OUT to get a better picture of our Father’s heart! We will see that the Trinity is a design/build partnership! We will look at this architectural firm’s rendition of your personal mansion! What does it really look like?! A deep dive into our identity as Christ followers
For ladies and gentlemen, from High school age and older. Contact Phil Germeroth at 434-610-6450 or PJGermeroth@verizon.net.
The Armor of God
Leader: Jim Scranton
NOTE: This class begins meeting on February 6th
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Therefore, take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm. (Ephesians 6:10-13, ESV)
There is a spiritual war going on, and it appears to be more prevalent in our world today. Marriages are falling apart. People are being bombarded by fear-provoking news. Lies are being spread, masquerading as truth, infiltrating even within the Church. The devil’s intention is to incapacitate God’s people in order to thwart the mission God has given us. However, God has provided His armor to help us withstand the schemes of the devil and to stand firm. Join us as we study Paul’s letter to the Ephesians, in which Paul unveils the strategies Satan uses to attack believers and explains the armor that God has provided to shield us from Satan’s attacks.

Managing finances for kingdom purposes
Leaders: Bryan Stone
Proverbs 27:12. Face it, the thought of money occupies a good deal of our time. It doesn’t have to, but it does. Let’s change that attitude as we explore God’s biblical truths.
We only have 8 hours so an overview of the following topics will form a starting place for you. We will look at topics like new attitudes, debt, net worth, and Dave Ramsey principles. We will also look at giving to God, personal goals, how much is enough, financial freedom, and a giving club.
Bring a Bible and notebook as we fly through God’s money principles.

Spiritual Formation
Leaders: Dee Britt
Learning how to process life with Jesus
This will be a book study of The Making of an Ordinary Saint by Nathan Foster along with supplemental excerpts from other classic and contemporary sources to learn about the use of spiritual disciplines to change the way we react to our daily circumstances. We will explore various disciplines together and share our experiences. Email Dea at deanna.britt9@gmail.com.
Women's Book Study: Liturgy of the Ordinary by tish harrison warren
Leader: Kelly Davenport
In overlooked moments and routines, we can become aware of God’s presence in surprising ways. How do we embrace the sacred in the ordinary and the ordinary in the sacred? Each chapter in this book looks at something that the author does during the day—making the bed, brushing her teeth, losing her keys. Life is viewed through the lens of liturgy – small practices and habits that form us. Each activity is related to a spiritual practice as well as an aspect of our Sunday worship. Come and discover the holiness of your every day. Study meets for 5 Sundays starting Jan. 30th.
