KINGDOM KIDS

Our Mission
Children’s Ministries exist at Grace Church to glorify God by cooperating with families in helping children become disciples of Jesus Christ.
Kingdom Kids: Newborn through 3rd Grade
We provide a loving nursery environment for children newborn through one year old. We call our ministry to children newborn through 3rd grade Kingdom Kids. One of our goals for this age group is that each child begin to formulate a consistent, meaningful relationship with Jesus Christ. We also want to help parents have a vision, plan, and community support for discipling their children.
The following values guide us in our ministry to children:
-
Effective teaching of God’s word
-
An equipped staff
-
Intentional Shepherding
-
Strategic partnering with parents
-
Safe and inviting environment
-
Emphasis on world missions
JAM: 3rd, 4th and 5th Grade
- JAM meets on Sunday morning, 9-9:50am.
- JAM is designed to prepare the children for the Junior High group by equipping them with personal knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ and His Word. We also seek to develop in the children a sense of personal discipline and service.
- Adults serving in JAM are with the children every week. After the teacher presents the lesson for the day, children break up (by age) into small groups for the purposes of teaching and mentoring. Scripture memory, prayer, and personal sharing are all part of the time the children spend in their small groups.
We look forward to serving you and your children!
Accident Policy
If a child is injured, an accident report will be completed and signed by both the teacher and the Director of Children’s ministry. The accident will be reported to the child’s parents.
Guest Policy
In the case of first-time guests, if siblings of different ages would like stay together and go to the same class, they may both attend the class of the younger sibling.
Moving Up to the Next Class
Children age 3 and under will be promoted two times a year. When they are eligible to move up to the next class, they may move up on either the third Sunday of August or the third Sunday of February.
Children who are 4 years old or older by September 30th will move up to the next class on the third Sunday of August every year.
Personal Belongings
Children should not bring personal toys or items from home.
Please label any belongings (bags, cups) with your child’s name.
Registration Policy
Each Sunday all children must be checked in by their parents at the front tables in the Kingdom Kids’ hallway. At registration parents receive their child’s name badge and a parent label. On the parent label is a number that corresponds to the child’s name badge. Children need to wear their name badge upon entering their classroom. Parents need to present their label to their child’s teacher when they go to pick up their child at the end of class.
Well Child Policy
In Kingdom Kids we do all that we can to ensure that your child is in a safe and clean environment, but we also need your help in order to maintain that environment for all of the children!
Our classes operate on a Well Child Policy. Please do not bring your child to a Kingdom Kids or JAM class if he or she is displaying the following symptoms:
- Fever (temperature over 100 degrees)
- Green/yellow runny nose
- Excessive coughing
- Diarrhea
- Vomiting
- Cold/Flu
- Sore throat
- Any contagious virus
- Questionable rash or skin infection
- Conjunctivitis (pink eye)
- Childhood diseases like chickenpox, hand foot and mouth, etc.
We ask that children be free of the above symptoms for 24-48 hours before coming to class. If a child displays any of these symptoms during class, we will ask you to keep your child with you until the end of the service.
We also respectfully request that you keep ALL of your children out of their classrooms if one of your children is sick, as there is a good chance that the siblings would be contagious.
Upon entering class each Sunday, teachers are asking for all children age two through fifth grade to either wash their hands or use hand sanitizer upon entering the classroom. We are also making sure the tables and toys are being sanitized after each use.
Thank you for your assistance in these matters! We want to provide a safe and quality learning environment for all children
