Tenebrae Service
April 2, 2021

Tenebrae is a practice in the church to help the community slow down and remember the story of Jesus’ death and resurrection. With the speed of our society, slowing down helps us not only catch our breaths, but it reminds us why we celebrate every year and who Jesus is.
The Tenebrae Walk-Through is the first in 2 opportunities on Good Friday, Apr 02, to slow down and remember Jesus. From 10am-3pm, you and your family can stop by anytime to walk through our short wooded trail behind the Grace building. We’ll have stations and resources for you to read Scripture, pray and reflect on Jesus life as you walk at your own pace. No sign up required.
Another common characteristic of Tenebrae is the use of light, candles and sounds to bring our attention to the Scriptures.
Starting at 7pm, gather indoors with us for our approach to a Tenebrae Service. From 7-7:30pm, we’ll create a service that focuses on quiet and the reading of Scriptures as we slowly darken the room as we read the stories of Jesus.
The whole family is welcome. Childcare will not be available.
