Solitude Retreat at Eagle Eyrie

WHAT IS THIS EVENT?
An overnight solitude reatreat at Eagle Eyrie Conference Center led by Mark Fesmire to help you break away from the busy life and spend time alone with God.

The retreat and cost includes a room to yourself or a married couple can share Friday night into Saturday morning, snacks, Saturday breakfast and lunch (gluten free option available), and 425 acres with a prayer labyrinth, hiking trails (including one to a nearby mountain peak) and quiet to spend time with God. Before given time for solitude, Mark will guide you through how to practice.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

WHO IS THE RETREAT FOR?
For anyone High School age or older.

WHY SHOULD I GO ON THE RETREAT?
To have time and space to be alone with God, away from the craziness of daily life, and to receive instruction into how to be alone with God.

WHAT WILL WE DO AT THE RETREAT?
Worship. Group discussion. Extended time for solitude.

WILL I BE ALL ALONE?
Yes and no. While you will have extended time alone to be in silence and solitude, there will also be others there with you during meals and during the sessions Mark will lead to give guidance during the weekend.

WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?
Bring your Bible, Journal, Paper, Pen, and anything else you use during your quiet time. For your personal use, bring clothes and regular shower items you use.

WHAT IS PROVIDED?
We will have snacks for you, breakfast and lunch on Saturday as well as bed linens, pillows and towels.

IS CHILDCARE PROVIDED?
No.

WHAT FOOD WILL BE SERVED?
Snacks will be available and breakfast and lunch will be served by Eagle Eyrie on Saturday. At all meals, there will be a gluten free option available. If you have an allergy need, let us know when you register.

WHEN DO I NEED TO ARRIVE?
Plan to arrive at the Retreat by 7pm on Friday, September 3. Please note no supper is provided, so eat before you arrive.

WHEN WILL THE RETREAT FINISH?
The retreat will end around 2pm on Saturday, September 4.
