About Us

In the spring of 1988 three couples began to dream about a new church in Lynchburg. They decided that it would have four distinctions: it would be committed to teaching God’s Word, it would place a priority on relationships, it would be casual in style, and it would be focused on God’s heart for the nations.

The first meeting of Grace took place in a living room that same summer. That fall, we became a member of the Evangelical Free Church of America. Since then, we have met in 2 different homes and 6 different rented facilities. In October of 2005 we purchased our first building and began renovating it. Although we look a bit different than we did that first Sunday in 1988, we remain committed to our core values.

If you come on a Sunday morning, you can expect to find casually dressed people, a worship style that includes contemporary music, (some written by members of our own body), instruction from the Bible and an opportunity to connect with other people.
